Karnell James

Karnell James graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a BA in 1997. As a student, James was a two-time MIAC Basketball Player of the Year, and broke the 26 year-old St. Thomas scoring record for points in a single game (47). He scored 1,854 career points, ranking him third on the school list. James played on a Tommie Final Four team, and was the conference MVP on the 1994-95 team that finished 27-1 (20-0 MIAC). He played on two MIAC champion teams, leading St. Thomas to an 81-28 record during his era. James still holds the school record for steals in a single game with 9.
