Bob Anderson graduated from St. Thomas with a BA in 1953. As a student, Anderson set the Central Collegiate Conference record in the 100-yard backstroke (1952), the MIAC records in the 100 and 200-yard backstroke (1952), and was a member of the State Championship teams in 1950-1951, and 1953 and during his time with the team was name a co-captain.
