Jim Buffo joined the St. Thomas athletic department in June 2024 as the Assistant Athletic Director for Tickets Services and Sales. This is his first season with the Tommies.
Buffo joins St. Thomas athletics after serving as the Director of Sales and Marketing for the PGA Tour and Twin Cities Golf Club from 2018 - 2024. Prior to his time with the PGA, Buffo spent 20 years with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx, working in ticket sales, premium seating sales and business development. In his 20 years with the Wolves/Lynx, Buffo was responsible for hiring, training, coaching and managing the organization Season Ticket Representatives and Ticket Sales Associates and expanding the teams' footprints in the Twin Cities and surrounding area. He was also tasked with selling season and single game tickets along with corporate sponsorships for both teams, generating partnerships, revenues and increased attendance number for the programs.

Buffo graduated from Saint Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota with a degree in marketing.
