A letter winner at Seven Lakes High School under head coach Amy Cataline... led district in blocks and hitting percentage for two consecutive seasons, recording 106 blocks and a .385 hitting percentage in 2024... named the 2024 varsity captain and was selected for the Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) Texas State All-Star Game... a three-time All-District Team selection and appeared on the Greater Houston Volleyball Coaches Association (GHVCA) Pre-season Watch List in 2024.
Personal
Daughter of John and Hannah Wingate and has one sibling, Emma... her sister, Emma, plays softball at Tufts University; her mother, Hannah, was a swimmer at the University of New Mexico; her father, John, played football at the University of New Mexico; and her grandfather, Jim Wingate, played professional baseball in the Cleveland Indians organization from 1966-1968... a member of the National Honor Society and earned Academic All-District honors for three years, as well as a spot on the GHVCA Post-Season All-Academic Team... plans to major in biology with a minor in global health at St. Thomas.
