Jill Reed

Jill Reed joined the St. Thomas volleyball program as an assistant coach in February 2026.
Reed previously spent six seasons as an assistant coach with Tommie Volleyball from 2015–21, helping guide a nationally competitive NCAA Division III program while contributing to practice planning, skill development, and athlete preparation. A former standout student-athlete at St. Thomas, she was a member of the 2012 NCAA Division III National Championship team, earned Most Outstanding Player honors at the national tournament, and was later inducted into the University of St. Thomas Hall of Fame.
In addition to her coaching background, Reed brings extensive experience in athlete development and medical integration. She most recently served as a Sports Clinical Specialist and lead physical therapist at Boulder Sports Clinic and worked with the University of Colorado club baseball program, focusing on injury prevention, return-to-play strategies, workload management, and performance optimization. Her previous roles include sports performance coaching with Altius Sports Performance and clinical work with Twin Cities Orthopedics, where she specialized in shoulder and knee rehabilitation for athletic populations.
Reed earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise science from St. Thomas, graduating magna cum laude, before completing her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at St. Catherine University and a post-graduate sports physical therapy residency with Fairview M Health.
