Cam Holmes enters his third season with the University of St. Thomas women’s basketball program in 2026–27, serving as the Director of Operations. He joined the Tommies in June 2024.
In his role, Holmes manages a wide range of responsibilities. On the operations side, he oversees travel, scheduling, budgeting, equipment, and alumni engagement. On the coaching side, he works directly with the Tommie post players, compiles scouting reports and handles recruiting logistics.
Throughout his coaching journey, Holmes has contributed to the development of several WNBA players, including his sister, Mackenzie Holmes, as well as Grace Berger and Paige Robinson. Before coming to St. Thomas, Holmes spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Illinois State, helping lead the Redbirds to a 46–21 record and a Missouri Valley Conference championship in 2023. During his time there, he was involved in basketball operations and individual player development.
Prior to Illinois State, Holmes served as an undergraduate practice player at Indiana University. During his three years with the program, the Hoosiers compiled a 90–36 record and made three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, advancing to two Sweet Sixteens and one Elite Eight.
Holmes earned a master’s degree in sport management from Illinois State in 2024 and a bachelor’s degree in sport marketing and management from Indiana University in 2022. He currently resides in St. Paul with his wife, Kasey.
