St. Thomas men’s soccer head coach Jon Lowery has announced the hiring of Danny Bermingham as an assistant coach ahead of the 2026 season.
“Danny brings a real eagerness to make us better and has experience in all phases of working within a Division I program,” Lowery said. “He brings a high level of character and will positively add to each student-athlete’s experience.”
Bermingham joins the St. Thomas men’s soccer staff after spending the 2025 season with the St. Bonaventure Bonnies and the 2024 season with the Wisconsin Badgers.
A native of Houston, Texas, Bermingham was a three-year starter in goal at Northern Kentucky, earning Horizon League Goalkeeper of the Year honors following the spring 2021 season after posting a 7-2 record in nine starts.
He was also named to the All-Horizon League first team in 2021 and earned a spot on the Horizon League All-Tournament Team.
In addition to his collegiate career, Bermingham brings experience from USL League Two, having played for the AHFC Royals in 2020 and Kings Hammer FC in 2022.
