Jamie Jaeger began employment with the St. Thomas Athletic Training staff in 2020. She, along with the entire UST Sports Medicine Staff, provides services for Tommie student athletes via the partnership between the University of St. Thomas and Twin Cities Orthopedics (TCO).
As the Head Athletic Trainer, Jaeger is responsible for the medical needs of each of UST’s 21 varsity programs. She plays a key role in the care and prevention of athletic injuries both on game day and for each practice, as well as educating athletes in the aforementioned areas.
As a collegiate athlete once herself, she is dedicated to help other athletes move mindfully as they return to their full potential using hands-on manual therapies, evidence-based rehabilitation interventions and considering the entire human being. She also encourages, educates, and mentors young athletic training students with aspirations to improve the profession of Athletic Training.
Previous stops for Jaeger include two years at Hamline University providing athletic training services for women’s soccer, women’s basketball, gymnastics, and baseball. Prior to Hamline, Jaeger worked at the University of Oregon as an Athletic Trainer for the football and acrobatics & tumbling team as she earned her master’s degree in Human Physiology with a concentration in sports medicine. She also has experience teaching college students’ human anatomy, introductory athletic training courses and injury evaluation courses during this time. Jaeger has worked with athletes of all ages and types, including those at the Olympic level. Jaeger spent time at the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and traveled internationally with USA’s Elite Boxing Team.
Jaeger earned her bachelor's degree in athletic training from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where she competed on the collegiate women’s basketball team. Jaeger is also a certified strength & conditioning specialist.
Jaeger currently resides with her husband Brandon and her daughter Macy.
