Had a 3.82 undergrad gpa in Business and Economics major, and completed year one of graduate studies with a Business Analytics degree program. He helped spark first-year Division I team St. Thomas to a fifth-place Summit finish. After a 4-17 start to their season, the Tommies went 12-12 over their final 24 games. In his last seven appearances, all starts, he went 4-1 with a 3.60 ERA with 53 Ks in 45 IP. He left two other April starts with late-game leads only to take no decisions after blown saves. Overall in 12 starts and two relief stints he went 4-6 with a 5.79 ERA, and 98 Ks in 79 innings. He was named co-National Pitcher of the Week on April 11 after he allowed no runs and two hits over 8 1-3 innings with a career-best 15 Ks in a 6-0 win over first-place North Dakota State. His 98 strikeouts on the regular season ranked first in the Summit and in the top 70 among all D-I pitchers. His 11.16 Ks per 9 innings ranks in the top 70 nationally. He broke a 55-year-old school career strikeout record and moved past 300 career Ks. He pitched in 50th career games with St. Thomas (39 starts), and was a D-III All-America in 2021 with the Toms' NCAA runner-up team. Named 2021 CoSIDA Academic All-America, and was a 3X Academic All-MIAC honoree
Career Stats:
2019: All-conference... had his collegiate-best 13 strikeouts in a seven-inning win over Augsburg... posted a 3-4 record with a 3.09 ERA and 67 strikeouts and 19 walks in 58.1 innings on the season, career: 5-6 with 2.96 ERA and 101 strikeouts and 31 walks in 91 innings
2021: D3Baseball.com second-team All-America, All-Region, all-conference, helped team finish as 2021 NCAA Division I runner-up, voted Most Valuable Pitcher in conference, 4-to-1 K-to-Walk ratio, beat Pacific in elimination game at regionals... Last April and May he went 8-0 with a 1.94 ERA with 89 strikeouts and 18 walks in 65 innings and helped the Toms win 23 of 26 games in a late-season stretch... closed this season 8-2 with a 2.40 ERA and a 5-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio with 114 Ks in 83 innings.
