Appeared in 12 games with six starts on the mound as a freshman...tied for fourth on the staff with a 6.21 ERA in 33.1 innings...recorded 37 strikeouts to 23 walks with a WHIP of 1.62...recorded a 4.0 inning save with five strikeouts, no hits and no runs allowed April 29 against Omaha...held opposing hitters to a .248 batting average...recorded 17 strikeouts over two starts, including a career high nine in 6.0 innings May 12 against Western Illinois.
