ST. PAUL, Minn. – Both St. Thomas men's and women's cross country programs are set to run Friday, Sept. 18 at the newly relocated Roy Griak Invitational in Mendota Heights, Minn. The women's 6,000-meter race starts at 10:30 a.m. followed by the men's 8,000-meter race at 11:15 a.m. from the Fort Snelling Golf Course.

THE LAST TIME OUT
The St. Thomas men opened the 2026 season with a second-place finish among 11 teams at the Dragon Twilight on Sept. 4, totaling 45 points in the 6,000-meter race. Adam Lueth led the Tommies with a seventh-place finish in 17:45.5, followed by Max Westerlund in ninth (18:04.7) and Casey Poppler in 10th (18:05.3). Nate Meyer added a 14th-place finish (18:13.7), while Ben Stricker rounded out the scoring five in 16th (18:19.9). The meet marked the program's first appearance at the Dragon Twilight since joining Division I and the first 6K race for all 15 Tommie runners.
The St. Thomas women opened their season with a dominant team victory at the Phoenix Open on Saturday, Sept. 12, placing five runners among the top nine and totaling 49 points. Olivia Pauly captured the individual 6K title in 22:18.3, while Lindsay Berg finished third in 22:21.5. Olivia Goebel added a seventh-place finish in 22:51.7, followed by Anna VanAcker in eighth (22:52.4) and Miley Clark in ninth (22:58.5) to complete the Tommies' scoring five.
UP NEXT
Both teams will run next on Friday, Oct. 2 at the Joe Piane Invitational hosted by Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.
