Sioux Falls, S.D. -- St. Thomas had three players recognized on Wednesday as The Summit League announced its annual postseason awards and all-conference teams for women's soccer. There were six individual player/coach awards, plus an 11-player All-Newcomer team and 33 players selected on three all-conference teams.

A pair of Tommie midfielders, freshman Kalli Knowles and sophomore Becca Smith, were selected to the All-Newcomer Team. Knowles, a Plymouth, Wisconsin native, led the Tommies in goals (3), assists (2) and points (8) and appeared in all 10 Summit League matches. Knowles had either scored or assisted on all five of the teams' goals from October 8 to October 15, helping the team win three straight games. She ranked tied for fifth in Summit League in game-winning goals (2) this season too.

Smith, a transfer from Kansas and native of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, played in nine games and her lone goal was the game-winner in the Tommies first win over South Dakota State in program history. Smith also helped the team keep two clean sheets in conference play.

Izzy McEwan, a junior forward from Minneapolis, Minnesota, was named to the All-Summit League Honorable Mention team. She led the Tommies in goals (6) across the whole season and ranked tied for fifth in the Summit League for her goal total. She played in all 10 conference games where she scored two of her goals and had 12 shots.

Their efforts for the team helped St. Thomas make the Summit League tournament for the first time in program history.
