SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – It's October, which means college basketball is right around the corner. The University of St. Thomas women's basketball team was picked the finish fourth in the Summit League Preseason Coaches Poll for the 2026-27 season, its highest preseason ranking since transitioning to Division I in 2021.
The Tommies received 283 votes in the Preseason Poll, which is voted on by head coaches, athletic communications professionals, and media members. North Dakota State was picked to win the conference for the second consecutive season, stunning South Dakota State and halting the Jackrabbits impressive win streak versus Summit League opponents. South Dakota State was picked to finish second, and South Dakota third.
