Tommies match program high two all-league selections, first all-defensive team accolade

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Guards Miles Barnstable and Drake Dobbs each earned multiple All-Summit League honors as the league office announced the 2024-25 Summit League Awards on Tuesday afternoon.

Barnstable was voted to the All-Summit League First Team and All-Newcomer Team and Dobbs to the All-Summit League Second Team and All-Defensive Team.

The four total all-league selections matches a program high (2022-23) since joining the league in 2021-22. It's the third consecutive season with two All-Summit League honors and with a selection to the All-Newcomer Team.

Barnstable, a senior from Sheboygan, Wis., is St. Thomas' second All-Summit League First Team selection and third All-Newcomer Team selection. He was just the third Tommie to earn the Summit League Peak Performer of the Week following the performance along with 20 points at North Dakota State to begin Summit League play on Jan. 2, combining for seven 3-pointers with 4.0 rebounds per game over the weekend.

Dobbs, a graduate student from Eden Prairie, Minn., is the program's first selection to the Summit League All-Defensive Team and fourth to the All-League Second Team. He ranks 11th among all of DI and leads the Summit League with a 3.20 assist-to-turnover ratio, tying Andrew Rohde (2022-23) with program single-season bests of 113 total assists and 3.6 assists per game. During Summit League games, Dobbs ranks second in assists per game (3.8), 22nd in scoring (12.1 ppg), fourth in free throw percentage (.877), 20th in 3-pointers per game (1.4), and 16th in minutes per game (30.1). He tied the DI single-game record with nine assists Jan. 11 against South Dakota and became the third Tommie in the DI era with three consecutive 20-point games, scoring 23 points Feb. 6 at South Dakota, 21 Feb. 8 at Denver and 23 Feb. 15 against Omaha.

St. Thomas ended the regular season with an overall record of 22-9 and a mark of 12-4 in Summit League games, earning the No. 2 seed in the Summit League Championships, which begin Wednesday, March 5 at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, S.D.
