Bjerke, Oosterbaan land on CSC Academic All-District Team

Duo is two of 10 Summit League student-athletes to earn national honor
GREENWOOD, ind. -- Redshirt sophomore Carter Bjerke and redshirt freshman Ben Oosterbaan were selected to the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Team as announced by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday. The team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Bjerke, a financial management major from Plymouth, Minn., ranked fifth in the Summit League in total 3-pointers (74) and seventh in 3-pointers per game (2.2). He scored a career high 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting and 6-of-8 on 3-pointers versus NCAA Tournament qualifier Wofford on Nov. 22, 2024, finishing six games with at least six field goals and five with at least four 3-pointers made through the season. Bjerke led the Tommies in blocks six times, rebounds four times and scoring once.
Oosterbaan, a business marketing major from Hinsdale, Ill., played in all 34 games off the bench, leading the reserves with 3.1 rebounds per game. He began his St. Thomas career with a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds to become one of three Tommie freshmen with at least 14 points in their collegiate debut. Oosterbaan totaled two double-digit scoring games during the Summit League season, both against North Dakota.
