Stenslie, Strom earn WCHA Accolades

Pair of Tommies earn WCHA honors
St. Paul, Minn. – St. Thomas women's hockey senior Lauren Stenslie and freshman Dani Strom earn WCHA honors after leading the Tommies to a sweep of #4 UMD, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Stenslie was named the WCHA Forward of the Week for the first time in her career while Strom took home WCHA Rookie of the Week, her second weekly honor of the season.
Recording five points (one goal, four assists) in the series against the Bulldogs, Stenslie led the Tommie offense with two multi-point games over the weekend. On Thursday, Stenslie tallied two assists, and on Friday she scored the game-tying goal while adding two assists.
Strom totaled 73 saves, including 40 saves in Friday afternoon's overtime win over UMD. Strom recorded a .936 SV% and 2.44 GAA over the weekend.
