Tommies return to FOX9 for 2024-2025 season after signing historic deal in 2023

ST. PAUL, MINN. – The University of St. Thomas will once again have a TV broadcast home for the 2024-25 season. On Wednesday, the Tommies signed a one-year extension with FOX9+, renewing a relationship that will once again make FOX9+ the television home of St. Thomas Athletics for 2024-25.

"This partnership with the FOX 9 family provides a unique experience for our St. Thomas student-athletes and fans while providing a platform to showcase our brand within the Twin Cities media market," commented Dr. Phil Esten, St. Thomas Vice President and Director of Athletics. "We are extremely excited to renew our partnership with FOX 9 and continue to extend our institutional story throughout the Twin Cities and metro areas."

The deal gives FOX9+ the rights to air selected Tommie home events for football, men's and women's basketball and men's and women's hockey throughout the Twin Cities and metro area. The full broadcast schedule will include four St. Thomas football games and select basketball and hockey games. Games will also continue to stream on Midco Sports Plus, the official streaming home of the Tommies, and all broadcasts will continue to be produced and staffed by St. Thomas athletics employees.

Marian Davey, Senior Vice President and General Manager of KMSP FOX 9 and WFTC FOX 9+, added, "We're enthusiastic about the future of our partnership with St. Thomas as they continue to establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with in their Division I athletic programs. We're proud to showcase their success for Tommie fans across the region."

The broadcast schedule itself will kick off with the Tommie football game against Northern Iowa on September 7, and the full broadcast schedule will be announced later this fall.

FOX9+, "Your Free Ticket to Local Sports", reaches nearly two million homes and can be found on Comcast channel 10/807, DirecTV channel 29, DISH channel 29, Spectrum channel 10, Mediacom channel 10/803, and Over-The-Air channel 9.2. These televised games will also be available on FOX9+ on Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV, FuboTV, and YouTubeTV.
