Tommie supporters give generously during record-breaking two weeks

In a testament to the support from Tommie Athletics' alumni, donors, friends, and partners, the Tommie Athletic Fund has generated $500,000 in support for the 1904 Club at the 3rd annual Purple Party & Auction and through the annual Sustaining Comprehensive Excellence campaign.

On April 18, over 315 individuals gathered at International Market Square to celebrate Tommie Athletics and invest in the student-athlete experience, raising more than $375,000 through exclusive live and silent auction items, admission gifts, sponsorships, and night-of donations. The record-breaking evening featured more Purple Party Partners than ever before. Thank you to the many organizations who believe in St. Thomas Athletics: Wings Credit Union, Ryan Companies, TE Miller Development, Crawford Architects, BSN Sports, Langer Commercial Real Estate, BEST Security, Supply Chain Solutions, John Thomas Design, Horwitz LLC, Pegasus Group, Total Mechanical Services, Change Starts with Me, Acre/Steelcase, Collins Electrical, Sharp/Marco, Viking Automatic Sprinkler Co. and Esch Construction Supply. Then the next morning, was the launch of the annual 10-day end-of year campaign, Sustaining Comprehensive Excellence, creating an avenue for those unable to attend the Purple Party & Auction to invest in our student-athletes and continue the momentum. From April 19 to 29, 177 donors raised $125,540 for their favorite teams to be used to provide Tommie student-athletes with resources such as academic support, mental health resources, scholarship, sports nutrition, and travel, so that they can achieve excellence in the classroom, the community, building their character, and in competition.

"This has been an incredible few weeks for Tommie Athletics," Senior Associate Athletic Director Ben Fraser said. "The success of Purple Party and Sustaining Comprehensive Excellence campaign will have a positive effect on the opportunities and experiences we are able to provide our tremendous student-athletes. Thank you to all of the donors who continue to believe in St. Thomas Athletics and support our vision as we advance and build at the Division I level. Roll Toms!"
