Sajevic, Vallario Earn WCHA Accolades

The duo earns WCHA honors after non-conference weekend series

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Cara Sajevic and Nicole Vallario earn WCHA Weekly honors after strong performances against Lindenwood, as announced by the league's office on Monday.  
 
Sajevic earned WCHA Forward of the Week, while Vallario picked up Defender of the Week; both earning their first WCHA honor of the season.
 
A Shoreview, Minn. native, Sajevic scored two goals and recorded an assist in two games played against the Lions. On Thursday, Sajevic recorded her second multi-point game of the season, posting a goal and an assist in the series opener.
 
Vallario, the senior defender also posted a two-point game on Thursday evening, scoring the game's first goal, and adding an assist on the Tommies' seventh goal of the game. In game two, Vallario tallied four blocks against the Lion's offense.

St. Thomas Women's Hockey returns to WCHA play this weekend, traveling north for a series against Bemidji State. Puck drop is set for Friday, Nov. 15 at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 16 at 2:00 p.m at Sanford Center.
