On Tuesday, November 12, St. Thomas Athletics will participate in the University of St. Thomas' 10th annual Tommie Give Day, but the fun begins today as the two-week giving window is officially open.

As Tommie Athletics advances at the Division I level, a key area of needed investment is scholarship support, aligning with the University's broader priorities. The Tommie Athletic Fund aims to create a sustainable framework where your contributions can provide an exceptional student-athletes experience for over 500 Tommie student-athletes. Generous donors, including the Board of Trustees and the Parent and Family Philanthropic Council, have stepped up to provide challenge funds that will double the impact of gifts made on Tommie Give Day.

"The annual Tommie Give Day is a commitment to enhancing the holistic student-athlete experience, impacting their lives long after their time at St. Thomas," said Ben Fraser, Deputy Athletic Director for Development and External Relations. "Within the Division I landscape, our point of difference will continue to be the transformational experience we provide for our student-athletes and gifts received for Tommie Give Day 2024 will help us to be able to invest in resources needed to do so."

Last year, we once again achieved a record-breaking breaking participation, with 692 donors giving to St. Thomas Athletics for Tommie Give Day. This year, we're aiming for over 700. We invite you to participate in this special day and help provide life-changing opportunities for our student-athletes.

As a thank you, all donors who contribute $100 or more will receive a new St. Thomas backpack, with the option to gift it to a student at Maxfield Elementary or St. Peter Claver Catholic School. Additionally, all donors who give $1,000 or more will be invited to hard hat tours of the Lee & Penny Anderson Arena this spring! Don't wait...Early giving is now open!
