ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The University of St. Thomas announced the 2023 football schedule Wednesday, which begins Sept. 2 at O'Shaughnessy Stadium in St. Paul.
The reigning Pioneer Football League champions open the season Sept. 2 against Black Hills State as it puts up the nation's longest home winning streak of 26 games. The season opener is the lone home game during non-conference play, which includes a Sept. 9 tilt at South Dakota in Vermillion, S.D., and a Sept. 16 contest at Harvard in Cambridge, Mass.
The Tommies return home Sept. 23 to begin PFL play against Morehead State. St. Thomas travels to face Dayton on Sept. 30 and before hosting Butler for its homecoming game on Oct. 7.
The conference schedule continues with a two-game road trip, Oct. 14 at Drake in Des Moines, Iowa and Oct. 21 at Stetson in DeLand, Fla. The Tommies will host Marist on Oct. 28 before a bye week on Nov. 4. St. Thomas makes its final road appearance Nov. 11 at San Diego before the season finale Nov. 18 against Valparaiso.
