Langbehn claims TicketSmarter Summit League Peak Performer of the Week honors

Sioux Falls, S.D. -- A career weekend for forward Jo Langbehn earned the sophomore TicketSmarter Summit League Peak Performer of the Week honors, the first ever for the St. Thomas Women's Basketball program.
The Elk River, Minn., native set a career high in scoring, averaged 24.0 points per game, and shot 74.1 percent from the field as the Tommies earned their first road weekend sweep in the Division I era with wins over Oral Roberts, 75-70, and Kansas City, 80-57. The wins also solidified the first two season sweeps for St. Thomas since joining NCAA DI.
Langbehn opened the weekend with 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting to go along with five rebounds and one assist. She followed up with a career-high 29 points, topping her previous high of 21, on 12-of-16 shooting. She went 5-of-8 from the free throw line and added two assists, two rebounds, and one steal.
Langbehn's career weekend lifted her to 20th in the Summit League with 11.0 points per game. She's shooting 61.1 percent from the field to lead the Tommies and has shot over 57 percent from the floor in 14 of the last 18 games. Langbehn has totaled three 20-point games and five of at least 19 points this season.
St. Thomas returns to action for its lone game of the week Saturday, Feb. 18 at Western Illinois.
