St. Thomas Athletics ready for 9th annual Tommie Give Day
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- On Tuesday, November 14, St. Thomas Athletics will participate in the University of St. Thomas' 9th annual Tommie Give Day.
As Tommie Athletics continues to compete and grow at the Division I level, one of the largest areas of needed investment is in scholarship support, directly aligning with the overall priority for the broader University. The Tommie Athletic Fund's goal is to create a sustainable framework where your investment in scholarships and operational support can provide an exceptional collegiate experience to over 500 Tommie student-athletes. Once again, the Board of Trustees, Parent and Family Philanthropic Council and other generous donors have stepped forward to provide challenge funds that double the impact of gifts made now through Tommie Give Day.
"The annual Tommie Give Day is a commitment to an investment in the holistic student-athlete experience, one that will impact their lives long beyond their time at St. Thomas," stated Vice President, Director of Athletics Dr. Phil Esten. "The gifts given on Tommie Give Day will help us attract not only the top-notch student-athletes from the Twin Cities, Minnesota, the Midwest, but from all over the country and even internationally. Continuing to focus on building a diverse student-athlete body will only help us advance the common good," continued Esten.
Last year, St. Thomas Athletics broke records with 498 donors supporting the Tommies on Tommie Give Day. This year, we are aiming to surpass 600 donors to the athletic department. We hope that you consider participating in this special day and help provide our student-athletes with life-changing opportunities.
All donors who give $100+ will receive a new St. Thomas sherpa stadium blanket. Early giving is now open.
