Asheville, N.C. - St. Thomas Women's Tennis won three singles matches Saturday against North Carolina-Wilmington at a tourney hosted by UNC-Asheville.
The competition concludes Sunday.
Doubles vs. UNC-Wilmington

Friday's story
The St. Thomas Women's Tennis Team competed in the first day of the Emily McNall Invitational hosted by UNC Asheville on Friday.
Three pairs of doubles competed against the host institution, UNC Ashville, on Friday, including sophomore Marthe Degeorges and junior Jannah El Nemr (6-0, loss), junior Monterey Knewtson and freshman Naisha Srivastav (6-2, loss) and the duo of sophomore Abigail Bremel and freshman Emme Johnson (6-3, loss).
In singles competition, Degeorgoes competed in the top spot (6-2, 6-2, loss), El Nemr fell by scores of 7-5, 6-2 in the No. 2 spot. Srivatav (6-2, 6-3, loss), Knewtson (7-6, 6-3, loss), Johnson (6-1, 6-1, loss) all competed. Additionally, Bremel forced a third set after claiming a competitive set two by a score of 7-6, but fell in the third set, 10-3.
The Tommies will continue action tomorrow in day two of the three day invitational.
