Oral Roberts shuts out Tommie Baseball, takes series 2-1

Tulsa, Okla. - Junior Isaac Coffey spun a two-hit shutout and Oral Roberts had five extra-base hits en route to a 14-0 win over St. Thomas in seven innings in Sunday's finale of a three-game conference baseball series.
Coffey set down the last 14 batters of the game for the Golden Eagles (30-15 overall, 13-5 Summit), who reached 30 wins on the season and finished 2-1 on the weekend.
ORU remains in second place by percentage points behind North Dakota State in the conference standings with six games to play.
The Tommies (13-26, 7-11) managed only three baserunners, including singles by Tanner March and Matthew Enck. The Toms grounded into two double plays.
The Purple are scheduled to play two con-conference games at Illinois State next Wednesday.
