St. Paul, Minn. -- St. Thomas Women's Basketball Head Coach Ruth Sinn announced the addition of four newcomers on 2022 National Signing Day.

This year's signing class is comprised of three guards and one forward, with two hailing from Wisconsin, one from Minnesota and one from Iowa.

Name                          Pos.    Ht.       Hometown                 High School
Sammi Beyer              G         5-6       Appleton, Wis.            Appleton East
Emma Miner               F          6-0       Grimes, Iowa              Dallas Center-Grimes
Lizzie Steingraber       G         5-8       New London, Wis.      New London
Zoey Washington        G         5-9       Mahtomedi, Minn.       St. Croix Lutheran

"I think the beauty of this class that's coming in this next year is that they epitomize all the characteristics that our women's basketball program is about," Sinn said. "They are passionate, strong, wonderful, young women who when they play the game, they play it with their whole heart and that's what I really am excited about."

"Each of them has had an impact on their community. Each of them are leaders in their community. But they are leaders because they know how to reach out and they know how to bring people up with them. I can't wait to have them wear the Tommie uniform."

Sammi Beyer (G, 5-6, Appleton, Wis., Appleton East)
High School
Named to All-Fox Valley Association First Team as a junior and all-conference honorable mention as a freshman and sophomore… Averaged 11.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game while shooting 45 percent from the field and 43 percent from beyond the arc as a junior… a three-time member of the honor roll… a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal
Daughter of Scott and Paula… two siblings, Chris and Sarah… brother plays hockey at Finlandia… undecided on a major.

Coach Sinn on Beyer: "Sammi Beyer is a point guard who bleeds this game. She is passionate, she is committed, she chases excellence in everything she does. You talk to Sammi, you can tell right away her commitment and her dedication. She is a person full of passion and it is going to be fun watching her come into our program and really bring her personality and bring those attributes to us."

Emma Miner (F, 6-0, Grimes, Iowa, Dallas Center-Grimes)
High School
Selected Iowa All-State First Team, all-district, all-regional, All-Little Hawkeye Conference First Team… named a team captain and MVP… earned academic all-conference… a member of the honor roll and National Honor Society.

Personal
Daughter of Lynn and Stacy Miner… two siblings, Brian and Trice… undecided on a major.

Coach Sinn on Miner: "Emma Miner is a wonderful young woman. She chases excellence in the classroom and on the basketball court. On the basketball court she is a quiet assassin. She can shoot the ball like the best of them. I think this past year she had seven 3's in one game. She's amazing. But what makes her so good is the way that she pursues excellence. She does it very matter-of-factly, she's very accountable, and she really brings a great sense of who she is and what she's about to our team and our program and I can't wait for her to wear the jersey."

Zoey Washington (G, 5-8, Mahtomedi, Minn., St. Croix Lutheran)
High School
Named Minnesota All-State Honorable Mention and All-Skyline Conference… averaged 15.2 points with 3.9 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game while shooting 50.2 percent from the field as a junior.

Personal
Daughter of Adrian and Jennifer… two siblings, Amaya and Malik… mother played hockey at Minnesota State, Mankato ('99)… father played basketball at Bethany Lutheran ('97-99)… plans to major in business marketing.

Coach Sinn on Washington: "Zoey Washington is a dynamic, athletic young woman. She comes to us via St. Croix Lutheran where she has a presence on the offensive and the defensive end. What separates Zoey though isn't just also on the court but it's off the court in the way she approaches the game and the way that she really empowers others to play at her standards and to play at her level."

Lizzie Steingraber (G, 5-9, New London, Wis., New London)
High School
A letter winner in basketball at New London High School… a unanimous All-Bay Conference First Team selection… averaged 15.3 points on 43.3 percent shooting with 3.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 3.1 steals per game as a junior… earned highest honors every semester.

Personal
Daughter of Dean and Rhonda… three siblings, Chris, Gretl and Olivia… brother, Chris, played basketball at UW-La Crosse… plans to major in business administration and minor in mathematics.

Coach Sinn on Steingraber: "So excited to have Lizzie be a part of our St. Thomas Women's Basketball Program. She is an infectious young woman who brings with her a commitment to working hard every day to really going out and being her best but giving her best to her teammates as well. She's going to be a great addition to us just by who she is and how she holds herself. Excited to welcome Lizzie to our program."
