Tommie students and fans are invited to join in the fun at O'Shaughnessy Stadium on Saturday Sept. 4 for the Roll Toms Fan Fest.
Gates will open for the 90-minute event at 12:45 p.m. and it's free and open to the public. A special invite goes out to St. Thomas' incoming freshmen and transfers who are taking part in the university's Welcome Week events.
The on-field activities will include a modified intrasquad football scrimmage involving Coach Glenn Caruso's team. The Tommies are preparing for their 2021 season debut on the road Sept. 11 at Michigan Tech and this fall's start of the university's NCAA Division I era.
As part of the scrimmage, students will be selected to participate in play calling and in a "You Make the Play" segment.
St. Thomas' Dance Team, Cheer Team and Tommie the Tomcat mascot will make appearances.
Tommie students should save the date for Sept. 25: St. Thomas' home football opener and its inaugural game in the Pioneer Football League against Butler University, a noon kickoff at O'Shaughnessy.
