Four St. Thomas pitchers combined for 16 shutout innings and collected 25 strikeouts to lead Tommie Baseball to a 7-0, 6-0 doubleheader sweep of host Hamline on a rainy Wednesday at CHS Field in St. Paul.

St. Thomas (20-5 overall, 14-2 MIAC) reached 20 victories and stayed atop the league standings by percentage points. The Toms have won six in a row and 17 of their last 19 games. Seven different St. Thomas players had a multiple hit game as part of a 19-hit attack over the two contests.

The Purple saw its team ERA drop to 1.39. They have seven shutouts thus far and have allowed just one run in eight other wins.

Coming off a 14-day layoff, Andrew Tri (4-2) had a complete-game one-hit shutout of the Pipers in game one, with 11 strikeouts. He retired the first nine and the last eight HU batters he faced. Tri lowered his ERA to 0.23.

Graham Laubscher (4-2) won the second game with six shutout innings and 11 strikeouts. Relievers Jeremy Klick (two innings) and T.J. Constertina (one) closed out the victory. Laubscher is 4-0 in his last five starts, and he lowered his ERA to 2.15.

St. Thomas is set to close the MIAC regular season with three games against Concordia-Moorhead -- two in Moorhead on Saturday and one nine-inning game Sunday at Koch Diamond.
