Freshmen help Women's Tennis take first victory

Eight players combined to lead St. Thomas Women's Tennis to a 9-0 victory over St. Scholastica in Sunday's non-conference game at Lakeville Lifetime Fitness.
Four freshmen won in singles and doubles for the Tommies (1-3), who recorded their first victory after playing three Division I teams to open the season.
St. Thomas newcomers to win both matches were Nicole Snezhko, Monterey Knewtson, Jannah El Nemr and Ashley Hatch.
St. Thomas plays twice next weekend in MIAC play -- Saturday at Concordia-Moorhead and Sunday at home against St. Mary's set for Eden Prairie.
