Women's Hockey closes fast, wins 6-2 at home

Anna Erickson and Alyssa Wallace each scored two goals and Kylie Watts stopped 23 of 25 shots in her second career start to lead St. Thomas Women's Hockey to a 6-2 win over St. Ben's in non-conference play Friday night in Mendota Heights.
St. Thomas (2-1), playing its third game in six days, led just 3-2 into the final 6:00 of regulation time, but used goals from Erickson, Jenna Hartung and Wallace in a 2:29 span to blow open the game.
The Bennies (0-3-1) led for just 90 seconds on the game. Julia Pias scored 2:35 into the first period for St. Ben's, but Luci Bianchi tied the game at the 4:05 mark. Erickson's first goal at 19:10 of the first put the Purple ahead to stay.
