Close call, singles play saves Women's Tennis in 5-4 win

After falling behind 3-0 after doubles play, Tommie Women's Tennis needed a huge surge in singles matches to pull out a 5-4 road win over St. Mary's in MIAC play Friday night in Winona.

St. Thomas (4-0 overall, 2-0 MIAC) held off the Cardinals (3-1, 0-1) thanks to tie-breaker wins at Nos. 1, 4 and 5 singles with Taylor McLeod, Sophia Dahlke and Helen Watkins. McLeod and Dahlke won their tie-breaker by 10-8 margins, while Watkins won 10-5.

Paige McLeod and Natasha Hood won at Nos. 2-3 singles.
