Senior Elijah Hannah scored 21 points off the bench and No. 5-ranked St. Thomas used a 26-5 second-half run to pull away in Wednesday night's 94-73 home men's basketball win over St. Olaf at Schoenecker Arena.

Senior Tommy Anderson added 18 points and seven rebounds for the Tommies (11-1 overall, 7-0 MIAC), who moved into a share of the conference lead with idle St. John's and ran their season win streak to 10.

The Tommies face the No. 7-ranked and 11-1 Johnnies Saturday afternoon in St. Paul in a showdown of top-10 ranked teams.

St. Thomas had only six turnovers, made 22-of-28 at the foul line, and recorded a 45-22 edge in bench points. Anders Nelson scored 16 points, Zach Theisen scored 12, and Burt Hedstrom sank nine points.

St. Olaf (6-6, 3-4) was led by Dominic Bledsoe's 15 points. The Oles made only 14-of-24 at the foul line and after shooting 58 percent in the opening half, they shot 40 percent in the second half.

St. Thomas closed the first half on an 8-2 run to lead 45-40 at halftime. The Oles pulled within 63-61 on Bledsoe's made trey with 9:37 to go, but the Purple countered with an 18-3 run over the next 3:39 on the clock to take control.
