Volleyball outlasts Pointers for key road victory

Hannah Braun recorded a career-best 18 kills and No. 18-ranked Tommie Volleyball held off host UW-Stevens Point, 3-2, in Saturday play at the Pointers tournament.
The Toms won 21-25, 25-21, 25-23, 24-26, 15-13 . They finished 2-1 on the trip and climbed to 13-3 on the season.
It was the fourth road win of the season for Coach Thanh Pham's team. Point dropped to 13-4.
Grace Anetipa chipped in 42 assists and 19 digs; Ellie Meyer had 30 digs; Madie Kroehler had 17 kills; Kate Achenbach had 11 kills and eight blocks; and Fran Egan had eight kills.
After playing their first 16 matches off campus, the Toms open their home season next Wednesday night against Concordia-Moorhead.
