M. Soccer gets OT loss, tie on trip to California

St. Thomas Men's Soccer and host Redlands tied 0-0 Sunday on a warm day in Redlands, Calif. Troy Louwagie had six saves in goal.
It was the third scoreless tie of the season for St. Thomas. The Tommies (1-2-3) have played five consecutive overtime games, tying three and losing two.
The Toms return home and open MIAC play Wednesday afternoon against Gustavus.

No. 8-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps scored the game-winning goal off a corner kick 16 minutes into sudden-death overtime to edge St. Thomas 2-1 Friday night in non-conference men's soccer play in Claremont, Calif.
The Athenas (3-2), a 15-win team last season, scored in the 15th minute. The Tommies used a dramatic goal by freshman Isaac Eckroth in the 87th minute, assisted by Ethan Andersen, to tie the game.
After a scoreless first overtime, Claremont buried the winning goal midway through the second OT session.
It was the fourth consecutive overtime game for the Tommies (1-2-2) resulting in two losses and two ties.
St. Thomas closes the California trip with a Sunday game against Redlands.
