Tennis teams close out spring break trip

St. Thomas Women's Tennis improved to 9-1 on the season with a 9-0 win over Oberlin (Ohio) to cap a short trip to Hilton Head (S.C.).
The Tommies previously had a 7-2 defeat of Union (N.Y)., and a 5-4 loss to DePauw (Ind.).
Freshman Taylor Jackson won in singles and doubles against DePauw and is a combined 15-0 so far in 2018-19 in singles and doubles.

The Tommies lost two close matches at first and second singles in the team victory. Natasha Hood, Paige McLeod and Taylor Jackson won in both singles and doubles.

Men's Tennis
The Tommie men fell 6-3 to Union in their trip opener in Hilton Head, S.C. Jordan Schenck and Zach LeVene won in doubles, and Tristan Fjesltad and Nick Vossen won in singles.
St. Thomas lost their otjher contest later in the week to Oberlin, 8-1. Erich Nuss won a third-set decision at No. 6 singles, but Jordan Schecnk lost in three sets at No. 4 singles.
