Volleyball is killin' it, adds 11th MIAC win

No. 22-ranked St. Thomas hit .244 and scored a 3-1 victory at No. 12-ranked Augsburg on Saturday to close out an 11-0 conference regular season. Freshman Kate Achenbach had a career-best 20 kills to lead a 27-25, 25-20, 23-25, 25-14 victory.
The Tommies (27-4), who have beaten two top-15 ranked teams in the last four days, are the top seed for the six-team MIAC playoffs and host a Thursday night Nov. 7 semifinal match.
Coach Thanh Pham's team is 16-1 in its last 17 matches after an 11-3 start.
Sophomore setter Grace Anetipa went over 1,200 assists on the season and had her 13th double double with 45 assists and 16 digs. Madie Kroehler had 13 kills and 17 digs for her 31st career double double.
