Volleyball reaches 15 wins, in first-place tie

No. 19-ranked Tommie Volleyball hit .301 and pulled away to win 3-0 in MIAC play Wednesday night at St. Mary's. St. Thomas recorded a 25-21, 25-19, 25-17 victory.
Madie Kroehler has 11 kills and 12 digs; Grace Anetipa has 42 assists and 11 digs; Selena Levendoski had 13 kills; Ellie Meyer had 12 digs; and Fran Egan added 10 kills and seven digs.
The Tommies (15-3 overall, 3-0 MIAC) moved into a tie with St. Ben's at 3-0 atop the early standings in the MIAC. Augsburg (3-1) fell 3-2 (17-15) in five sets at St. Olaf to drop out of the lead.
Linnaea Wallis had 10 kills and 13 digs to lead the Cardinals (11-8).
The Toms are home Saturday to face Carleton (5 p.m.).
