Freshman Lexi Serreyn's first collegiate goal and two assists from sophomore Kate Heimer propelled Tommie Women's Soccer to Tuesday's 3-0 win at No. 22-ranked Loras in non-conference play in Dubuque, Iowa.
St. Thomas (2-1) had an 8-3 advantage in shots on goal and killed off four Loras corner kicks. UST has seven shutouts in its last eight victories dating back to last October.
Serreyn scored in the 31st minute. Sophomore Megan Zickert scored in the 75th minute for a 2-0 lead. Senior Brie Bourdage set up senior Mallory DeBoom for a clinching goal in the 86th minute.
Loras (1-2) had lost earlier in the weekend in Dubuque to No. 10-ranked Washington (Mo.), 3-0, but the Duhawks were 21-4-3 at home over the last four seasons coming into Tuesday's match, including a 1-0 win over the Tommies in the 2016 NCAA playoffs.
The Tommies open their home season Saturday at 1 p.m. against Northland College.
