Volleyball falls 3-1 at St. Ben's

St, Thomas Volleyball dropped a four-set conference match Wednesday night at St. Ben's. The Bennies won 20-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-20.
In the pivotal third set, UST rallied to tie the score at 23-23 but couln't close out the set win.
The Tommies (8-5 overall, 1-1 MIAC) were led by Julia Spacek's 19 kills and five blocks. Katharine Mallak had 45 assists; Ellie Meyer had 22 kills; Madie Kroehler had 18 digs ans three aces; and Audrey Erickson had 13 kills.
St. Ben's (10-4, 2-0) hit .204 has won seven of its last eight matches.
St. Thomas plays Saturday at Carleton.
