Men's Hockey lead vanishes in tournament loss

Utica (N.Y.) scored a late empty-net goal to cap a five-goal third period and hand Tommie Men's Hockey a 6-3 loss Friday in Stevens Point, Wis.
John Peterson and Luke Radetic each had a goal and an assist before the offense stalled for St. Thomas (3-3). The Toms scored three times in a 7:19 span to take a 3-1 lead, 45 second into the second period.
Utica (4-4) outshot the Toms 20-12 in the final two periods. The winners scored three times to regain the lead at 4-4, then added a power-play goal and an empty netter.
St. Thomas finishes the weekend trip Saturday against the loser between Nichols (Mass.) and No. 1-ranked UW-Stevens Point.
