Volleyball continues momentum in 3-0 win

St. Thomas Volleyball hit .331 and ran its win streak to five with Wednesday night's 3-0 home defeat of Hamline. The Tommies won 25-22, 25-20, 25-11.
All four UST seniors celebrated Senior night with big contributions:
- Julia Spacek hit .500 with 19 kills and three blocks;
- Grace Bordson hit .524 with 13 kills and three blocks;
- Audrey Erickson had six kills;
- Katharine Mallak added 46 assists.
The Toms (21-7 overall, 8-2 MIAC) outlasted the Pipers in a close first set, and pulled away late to take game two. UST caught fire and raced to an 11-1 lead in the third set.
Ellie Meyer had 30 digs, Meghan Mazzola chipped in 13 digs, and Erin Heidenrich closed with three aces.
St. Thomas plays at home again Friday night (Northwestern-St. Paul), Saturday afternoon (St. Catherine) and Saturday night (No. 11-ranked UW-Eau Claire).
