Women's Volleyball defeats St. Mary's

St. Thomas (11-4 overall, 3-0 MIAC) pushed its match win streak to seven and stayed in a share of the early MIAC lead with Saturday's 3-0 road defeat at St. Mary's. The Cardinals came in with a 14-1 overall record but lost 25-19, 26-24, 25-15. Whitney Lloyd had seven kills and eight blocks and UST hit .232. Taylor Lewis chipped in 10 kills, and freshman Ellie Meyer added 14 digs. UST is tied with Gustavus at 3-0, while preseason favorite Bethel lost in five sets and fell to 0-3 in the conference.
St. Thomas travels to Hamline for another conference test on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
