Freshman sharp in two Saturday SB wns

Freshman Kierstin Anderson-Glass threw a five-hit shutout and froze the tying and winning runs in the last at-bat to lead Tommie Softball in the first of two Sunday wins in Clermont, Fla., as it opened a spring-break trip.
St. Thomas (4-3) topped UW-Whitewater, 1-0, and edged Hope (Mich.), 5-2.
Megan DuPuis drove in the game's only run wth a third-inning single following a walk, a Dani Wigen stolen base, and a single by Chase Shortly. Anderson-Glass struck out eight and didn't walk a batter. She stranded two runners in both the sixth and seventh innings, the latter with two strikeouts to close the game.
