ST. PAUL – The St. Thomas men's hockey team came away with a 3-2 victory over Hamline University on Friday night at Oscar Johnson Arena. It was the 100th victory for seven-year St. Thomas coach Jeff "Duke" Boeser.

St. Thomas' Michael Dockry and Brett Gravelle scored goals in a 13-second span early in period two en route to the win.

UST (5-2-3 overall, 4-0-1 MIAC) will play host to the Pipers Saturday in Mendota Heights (7 p.m.).

After a scoreless first period, St. Thomas came out to score back-to-back goals just 13 seconds apart within the first minute of action in the second period.

The Pipers answered with their first goal of the game just under eight minutes into the second frame to cut the deficit to one goal (2-1) headed to the second intermission.

In the third period, Charlie Donlin gave the Tommies a key goal with 1:41 left in regulation to push the lead to 3-1. Hamline added an extra-attacker goal with six seconds to play, but it was too little, too late for the Pipers in the loss.

Sophomore goalie Andrew Rohkohl stopped 29 of 31 shots for his first collegiate win in net.  Justin Quale suffered the loss for the Pipers in a 24-save effort.
