St. Thomas Men's Hockey fell 1-0 to Concordia-Moorhead on Saturday night at the MIAC Hockey Showcase in Blaine. The Toms finished the showcase with a 0-1-1 record.
Dalton Mills scored in the 11th minute of the first period to put the Cobbers on the board. That proved to be the game-winning goal as neither team was able to score the rest of the game.
St. Thomas outshot Concordia 35-24, including a 16-7 advantage in the third period, but were unable to come away with a goal.
Devin Tappenden was in net for the Tommies and stopped 23 of 24 shots he faced.
St. Thomas resumes play on Friday night against UW-River Falls for their first home of the season. The match is set for a 7:30 p.m. start time in Mendota Heights at Saint Thomas Ice Arena.
