Cardinals rally to 3-1 win over Volleyball

Taylor Lewis had 15 kills and 16 digs and Jennifer Wild had four aces and 29 digs but the host Tommie Volleyball team lost a 3-1 decision at home Saturday to conference co-leader St. Mary's.
The Cards prevailed 22-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-19 and ended a long losing streak in the series to St. Thomas.
SMU (14-2 overall, 3-0 MIAC) had 10 aces and got a 15-kill, 16-dig day from Jenna Sullivan.
Whitney Lloyd had 11 kills and hit .393 for UST (6-9, 1-2). Rebecca Hawkins and Maggie Krieger each had 14 digs.
St. Thomas is home Wednesday (7 p.m.) to face Hamline.
