W. Hoops flies to 21-0 start

Jenna Dockter scored 17 points and No. 3-ranked St. Thomas maintained its three-game lead atop the standings with Saturday's 80-55 win over Carleton in MIAC women's basketball play in Schoenecker Arena.
Alyssa Favilla had 11 points and Anna Smith scored 10 for the Tommies (21-0 overall, 14-0 MIAC), who made 18-of-22 free throws and got points from 11 different players. UST played without senior All-America candidate Maggie Weiers, who had a family commitment.
St. Thomas shot 47 percent from the floor and had a 35-27 rebounding edge as it improved to 10-0 at home this season.
Skylar Tsutsui had 14 points to lead the Knights (7-14, 5-9).
The Tommies are home Wednesday to face St. Catherine.
