Volleyball loses five-set marathon at Carleton

Taylor Lewis had 20 kills, five blocks and 13 digs but the Tommies dropped a marathon volleyball match Wednesday night at Carleton.
The Knghts prevailed 25-20, 23-25, 22-25, 25-15, 15-12.
Grace Duffy had seven blocks and seven kills, and Brooke Reichart added 13 kills for St. Thomas (7-11 overall, 2-5 MIAC). Rebecca Hawkins had 30 assists, five aces and 11 digs, and Jennifer Wild had 16 digs.
St. Thomas led 11-8 in the fifth set but was unable to close out Carleton. UST is 3-2 this season in five-set decisions.
The Toms travel to Oshkosh, Wis., and play four matches this weekend in the Titans' tournament.
