Volleyball goes 4-0 in Wisc., now 11-4

No. 20-ranked St. Thomas Volleyball went 2-0 Saturday at the UW-Eau Claire tournament to cap a 4-0 weekend and push its win streak to seven.
UST scored 3-0 defeats of Wisconsin schools St. Norbert and No. 9-ranked UW-Stevens Point. The Toms (11-4) topped the Green Knights, 25-20, 25-23, 25-14, and outplayed the host Pointers, 25-17, 28-26, 25-21.
In the Stevens Point win, Jill Greenfield had 12 kills and 26 digs; Kelly Foley had 13 kills and five blocks; Maddie Reese had 22 assists and 15 digs; Whitney Abrahamson had 17 digs; and Taylor had seven kills and six digs.
In the St. Norbert win, Greenfield had 14 kills and eight digs; Foley had 10 kills and four blocks; Maddie Reese had 32 assists; and Abrahamson added 16 digs.
Greenfield and Reese made the six-player all-tournament team.
St. Thomas plays two MIAC matches this week – Wednesday night at Macalester, and Saturday at Gustavus.

No. 20-ranked St. Thomas Volleyball went 2-0 Friday at the UW-Eau Claire tournament, with 3-0 defeats of Wisconsin schools Eau Claire and Carroll. The victories pushed UST's win streak to five.
The Tommies (9-4) topped the host Blugolds 25-22, 25-16, 25-19, and cruised past Carroll, 25-13, 25-20, 25-16. They close the tournament with Saturday contests against St. Norbert and No. 9-ranked UW-Stevens Point.
In the Eau Claire win, Taylor Lewis had 20 digs and 10 kills, while Jill Greenfield had 19 digs and 10 kills. Maddie Reese had 18 assists and six digs; Kelly Foley had seven kills and three blocks; Whitney Abrahamson had 15 digs; and Whitney Lloyd added seven kills.
In the Carroll win, UST used 20 players. Foley had nine kills; Greenfield added eight kills, eight digs and four aces; Reese had 32 assists; and Abrahamson finished with 11 digs.
