W. Tennis falls to No. 13-ranked Knights

No. 13-ranked Carleton won three close matches in singles to cap off a 7-2 victory over St. Thomas in MIAC women's tennis play Saturday in Northfield.
The Tommies (13-2 overall, 7-1 MIAC) took their first defeat to a Division III team.
Bridget Noack and Kara Lefsrud won 8-5 at first doubles. Noack won 6-3, 6-2 at second singles for UST's other point. Shelby Henderson lost 6-3, 5-7, 10-8 at first singles, and Paige Becher lost a three-set tie-breaker at fourth singles.
UST still has conference matches against top-five MIAC teams Gustavus and St. Catherine. The Knights (13-2, 7-0) still must play St. Olaf, Gustavus and Macalester.
